After the leopards...

After the excitement of the leopards in the morning, the afternoons entertainment was a bit more... pedestrian...  But still there were some interesting things to be seen....

Glossy starling with termite in beak...
I noticed a large number of starlings and hornbills eating what I thought to be seeds from the ground.  The wind was really blowing and I thought the seeds might have blown down from the trees.  But then I looked closer.  What I thought were seeds were actually termites.   They were all over the place and the birds were feasting on them!  First time I've seen this...

This guy just happened to be at the right place in the right light.  A beautiful impala ram...

Impala ram...

I've been trying for a while now to get a giraffe in a green environment...  Not as easy as it sounds.  They seem to like browsing with their bodies in the shade or by putting the bush between me and them...  But this guy gave me what I wanted!

Giraffe in green bush.

This guy was keeping a wary eye on me.  He was all alone though I am sure some of his mates were somewhere around.   Look at the glint in his eye as he grazes but keeps a watchful eye on me....

Buffalo bull grazing...

Whats your thought?  I made a hash of a photo the other day and was going to delete it.  But then I kind of liked it...  What do you think of this image?
