Shingwedzi, Quiet day 2

Today was a bit warm at 16-34 degrees, 10 degrees hotter than home! Today seemed to be a lot quieter from a picture point of view.  I think it has a lot to do with it being the weekend.  With so many extra vehicles the game tends to move further away from the road.  Plus you always have to get the goons who rush along the roads in a mad bid to be out the gates first and get as far as possible from the camp at the greatest speed.  So I'm not surprised it was quieter... Other sightings that I didn't get any pics of was a dwarf mongoose.  These shy  little guys are typically not eager to be photographed but when they stand still long enough they are a treat! I've adopted the following approach:  "Good light, willing subject," meaning if the light is good and I can get a nice pic I'll take the time to take a few snaps.  It keeps me focused and experimenting all the time with different approaches. Tomorrow afternoon should be very good as most weekenders will be heading home.  I'll spend the whole day out and take the western loops past Red Rocks to see an area I haven't been to yet. My route will take me toward Bateleur Bushveld Camp.  Toward the hot part of the day, I'll find a shady tree and wait it out and then travel back during "magic time" when the light is at it's best.
